Advisement

Advisors guide your academic success.

They help you plan your class schedule, stay on track to graduate and more.

Undergraduate advisement (majors)

Once you declare your major in computer science, you'll be on a streamlined advisement path.

  • As a freshman, you'll have an advisor in the College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CNAS).
  • After your first year, your advisor will be a computer science faculty member. We'll pair you with someone who fits with your academic or career goals.

Graduate advisement

As you complete your master's degree, your advisor will be the graduate program coordinator or a thesis advisor.
